Traditional Custom Wine Cellar

This Tuscan inspired custom wine cellar is surrounded by warm, mottled beige walls that blend into the main interior of the home. Using high quality Sapelle Mahogany wine racks with a luxurious dark walnut stain, the room was transformed into a traditional wine cellar that would be the envy of Italian wineries. A charming iron gate motif door encloses the cellar, opening to the main house.

LED lighting illuminates the presentation rows of bottles at eye level that wrap around the cellar, and lights up the display archway tasting table for glasses and accessories. For bulk storage, the cellar includes case shelves and large diamond bins, with individual storage above. Working closely with the manufacturers of the wine racks, IWA designed racks that were shipped pre-assembled, which expedited the time to install and reduced the cost of the installation.

The custom wine cellar is refrigerated by a fully ducted CellarPro 4200VSi cooling unit that is controlled by a digital controller mounted near the door. As a result of ducting the hidden cooling unit, the cellar can be filled with racking, and noise levels are kept to a minimum.
